General
QRQuest is a system that fully works on the web. So in your browser. There is no app, not even for your guests.
You create assignments for you guests. Each assignment has a unique QR code. You print the QR codes and strew them throughout your party or event space.
Guests try to find all QR codes. They scan them with their phones, do the assignments and make pictures or videos of them using their phone.
You can display a live stream with submitted photos and videos on a TV or monitor. That way your guests are challenged by all others. You could also think of giving away a prize to the guest with the best photo or video or the most assignments completed.
QRQuest has two types of users: the Quest Master and the guests/players.
The Quest Master
The Quest Master creates and manages the quest and assignments. As Quest Master you have the following tasks:
Make a quest
It means that you give your quest a name, a description and a background image.
If you choose to use the professional license, you can also add an organisation logo and name and choose your colors.
Create assignments
In your quest you create assignments. With every assignment you can upload a photo. You also indicate if players have to take a picture or make a video to finish the assignment.

Print QR codes
Every assignment has a unique QR code. You will print them and hang them in your party or event space(s). You can choose to print 1, 4, or 8 QR codes per page (Letter or A4 format).
Livestream
QRQuest also has a livestream. You can hook up computers to monitors or TV’s. QRQuest shows the photos and videos and the players: how many joined and who are in the top 5.
Every 10 to 15 seconds QRQuest shows the next photo or video.
Gallery
After the party or event you can share a link to the gallery with your guests. They can view the gallery and download the photos and videos.
Other responsibilities
- During the party or event you are responsible to remove inappropriate photos and videos.
- If more guests than you have purchased want to join, you can increase the number of guests during the party/event. You will get a unique link for it, which you can also store on your mobile phone.
- You are responsible to suspend guests who should not be in your quest or who show inappropriate behavior.
- After the party or event your guests can access the gallery for 30 days. If you want to keep that gallery available for longer, you can extend the period.
The guests/players
Guests scan the QR codes with the camera of their mobile phone. The QR code sends them to a web page with an assignment.
The first time a guest scans a QR code, QRQuest asks them for their name or alias. After that they see the first assignment.
Guests can then scan the remaining QR codes in any order and see the assignment immediately.
Every assignment can end with a photo/video. Guests upload them, after which they end up in the livestream and gallery.
After every assignment has been completed, guests see how many assignments are left to complete.
They can scan the QR codes in random order and can do each assignment only once.
